Student Leadership
One of our school values is leadership, and we aim to provide students with as many opportunities as possible to develop their leadership skills. These opportunities may come through formal leadership roles, school clubs, sports teams, or class projects. By taking on these responsibilities, students learn how to motivate their peers, solve problems creatively, and make important decisions.
We offer a variety of leadership opportunities across the school:
-
Heads of Form (Years 7–11)
-
Deputy Head of Form (Y7-11)
-
Heads of House (Year 11)
-
PSHE Ambassador (Years 7-11)
-
BEAM Ambassador
-

-
Year 10 - Sports Leadership - Lead/coach a sport session to their peers
-
Year 10 PE Students - Organise and lead inter-House competitions
-

Women who Lead
Women Who Lead is a structured three-year leadership pathway embedded within our Personal Development curriculum. It is designed to respond to:
- High uptake of Year 10 students applying for Head of House Student
- Student survey feedback indicating a strong desire for more leadership opportunities
- Our existing progression model of local (Y7), national (Y8) and international (Y9) experiences
The programme ensures leadership is not viewed as a single role or moment, but as a developmental journey — from understanding self, to influencing community, to creating wider impact. Each year aligns with a school value and builds towards increasing independence and agency.
