Through the music curriculum, instrumental lessons, ensembles/choirs and performances we strive to enable our students to become creative, confident and happy individuals as well as co-operative team members. We promote cultural awareness, resilience and a sense of wellbeing through perseverance and commitment.

Pupils in Y7 receive two music lessons per week and pupils in Y8 and Y9 receive one music lesson per week.

Musical knowledge, understanding and skills are developed through the integrated activities of performingcomposing & listening/appraising. They develop creative, analytical, social and thinking skills and experience music from different periods & cultures.
