History
The History department at Beverley High School aspires to create the very best historians through our knowledge rich curriculum. We guide our learners to become responsible citizens by widening their outlook on the richness and diversity of human history. As a result, their cultural reference points are broad and varied. Students develop a chronological overview that enables them to find out about the history of Britain, Europe and the world.
This knowledge underpins the application of skills such as critical thinking when analysing different interpretations of the past. As successful learners’ students will be able to evaluate evidence and learn how to support arguments and judgements they make about the past.
