Year 8 GCHQ Opportunity

Year  8 - GCHQ Cyber Competition

GCHQ Scarborough is involved with the Cyber First scheme and are actively supporting the Cyber First Girls Competition 2019. As part of this you have been asked to be in teams of 4 students and complete a number of challenges in the following categories...

1. Networking

2. Logic and Coding

3. Cyber Security

4. Cryptography

 

These challenges can be worked on in school (lunchtime and after school) or in the evening at home. The top 10 teams across the country compete in a face to face grand final and can win a large number of individual prizes.

 

In addition - once entered into the competition, you will have the opportunity to visit GCHQ Scarborough, listen to an inspirational talk from a guest speaker and tour the GCHQ museum.

Please email Miss Brownell (s.brownell@beverleyhigh.net) if you are interested and attend a short meeting on Thursday 20th December at 8.55 am in the Drama Room.
