Inspiring a love of learning

“Inspiring a love of learning”

‘The lessons and the teachers are really good and I’ve made so many more friends since starting the sixth form’ Emily, Year 12

‘I’ve been able to achieve a level of independence but still rely on the support of staff I know when I’ve needed it’ Beth, Year 13

‘To begin with I was nervous about meeting new people but everyone has been welcoming. The subjects I chose are right for me and the teachers are helpful. Coming here was the right decision’ A new student who started in Yr 12

“I taught in several schools and I was only blessed with sons but I firmly believe that if I had a daughter I would want her to go to this school because I am aware at first hand of the dedication of all of its staff to the care and education of the girls. This school does realise that it is precious cargo that it carries.” A former teacher

Parent Forum

Following our recent Ofsted Inspection it was suggested that communication between school and parents could be improved.  As a response to this the school is undertaking a review of how we harness and use Parent Voice to enhance parental involvement.

The Parent Forum meets once per term , in school in the evening at approximately 5pm. The group would welcome more parental involvement. If you are interested in attending the Parent Forum please contact the School Office, or email parents@beverleyhigh.net.

The objectives of the Parent Forum are:

  • to support the educational development and welfare of all pupils
  • to support the continuous development of the school
  • to provide a channel for communication between school and parents and parents and school
  • to be informed of and consider items raised by school pupil groups
  • to seek to utilise the wide range of professional expertise of parents
  • to share good practice from a range of institutions
  • to consider and recommend future innovations
  • to liaise with Parents' Forums in other local and national secondary schools
  • to liaise with the BHS Governing Body and Friends group, where appropriate

Watch this space for details of the next Parent Forum.
