The school is committed to promoting Inclusion and the SEN team has a vital role to play in developing strategies for success.
The Learning Support Team comprises

- Teaching Assistants – Mrs Sharon Allan, Mrs Deberah Bartlett , Mr Matthew Benson, Mrs Louise Branton, Ms Maria Brocklesby, Mrs Rebecca Crosby, Mrs Lisa Daniels, Mrs Zoe Doyle, Mrs Debbie Genter, Mrs Pauline Kavanagh, Miss Danielle Quiney, Miss Holly Sysum, Miss Rebecca Whiteing and Mrs Sarah Wild
Mrs Kim Mayfield is the Wellbeing Team Leader. The Student Support Manager, Ms Tracey Watson is closely involved with many of our students. Miss Chantelle Smith is the schools Attendance Manager. Ms Watson and Miss Smith are the Child Protection Coordinators in school. The Key Stage 3 and 4 Assistant Year Leaders, Mrs Kim Mayfield, Ms Tracey Watson, Miss Chantelle Smith, Miss Emily Richardson and Mrs Faye Scott assist Year Leaders with pastoral issues.
Outside agencies including York Educational Support Service, the Educational Inclusion Service, Sensory and Physical Teaching Service, Occupational therapy, Physiotherapy and Youth and Family Support Service are all key to our successful team approach.
The school is well resourced with a well-equipped Learning Support Centre and Wellbeing Centre.

This site makes clear the options that are available at a community level right through to specialist and targeted services for children and young people with more complex needs. It has been developed in conjunction with parent carers and young people.
